Wines of Château Gunes

Vins du Château Gunes | Bordeaux, AOC Haut-Médoc
Located close to the Pauillac and Saint Estèphe appellations, our property of approximately 8 hectares of vineland benefits from one of the best terroirs in the Haut-Médoc appellation thanks to the positioning of its plots.

First mentioned in 1785, the Château has just completed the overhaul of its chai with the installation of 14 new temperature-controlled vats. In addition, a new grape reception system has been put into operation.

Regular tillage and minimal use of chemicals, combined with manual, selective harvesting allows us to offer you authentic wines artisanally aged exclusively in oak barrels within 18 months.

Thanks to the support of our highly qualified and talented oenologist in the growing each of our wines, they offer a real mosaic of sensations, have a deep color, aromatic nose, pronounced aromas of fruits and berries, rich and captivating taste, perfect balance, elastic tannins. This is how Château Gunes wines can be characterized.

All this is due to our know-how in regards to the assemblage. In fact, the structure of each of our wines is formed by Cabernet Sauvignon with its characteristic nose of blackcurrant with nuances of tobacco and its high tannin content. It is blended with Merlot which offers roundness and velvetiness, but one can also find in it complementary grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

With careful vinification and combination of traditions and innovations, our wines are rich and complex and offer good aging potential.

For oenophiles, the wines of Château Gunes are the benchmark of Bordeaux wines, because they truly reflect a unique terroir in the world, benefiting from a fertile soil, a climate and an exceptional geographical location.
